Location & Getting Here
Our hotel in the Kitzbühel Alps
Our hotel is located in Mühltal, between the two villages of Oberau and Auffach. In Mühltal you will find, among other things, the entrance to the "Kundler Klamm" natural gorge and the popular Wildschönau Brewery. You can reach Auffach on foot along the Wildschönauer Ache in 10–15 minutes.
A short distance behind the hotel you will find the riding stable with adjoining indoor arena. From the hotel rooms and from the swimming pool, you can watch the horses in the paddock. We are also a great starting point for mountain bike tours, hikes and much more – we will be happy to advise you on site!
Getting Here
How to Get to Tyrol
By Train
Right on the doorstep of the Wildschönau high valley is Wörgl main station, where all trains stop. The travel times map gives you an impression of the excellent connections. It shows train journey times from the largest railway stations in Europe. To find the fastest connections and the best price, it is worth taking a look at Trainline.
Postbus
There is also an hourly postbus service between Wildschönau and Wörgl main station. The stop is located directly in front of our hotel and even bears our name: "Mühltal in Wildschönau, Haflingerhof".
Free station shuttle
We support sustainable travel! That is why we arrange your transfer from Wörgl station. The journey takes 15–20 minutes. This offer applies to hotel bookings of 3 nights or more.
- Book your room via our hotel website
- Let us know your train connection
- We will organise the transfer for you
By Car
Getting here by car is straightforward and takes you directly into Wildschönau right to our Haflingerhof.
Parking is available directly at the hotel.
Coming from Munich
Coming from Munich or Vienna, take the A12 motorway to the Wörgl Ost exit. From there, continue to the large junction in the town centre (100 m after the church) and turn left towards Wildschönau.
No vignette required when coming from Munich
You can drive without a motorway vignette as far as the „Kufstein-Süd“ exit. From there, simply continue via the regional road to Wörgl. At the junction in the town centre (100 m after the church), turn left towards Wildschönau.
!! TODO: @Felix: Remove "no vignette required" (exit ban during peak seasons?)
Coming from Innsbruck
Take the A12 to the Wörgl West exit and, heading towards the town centre, turn right towards Wildschönau at the large junction.
Then: the way into Wildschönau
Follow the road into Wildschönau. After the first villages, Niederau and Oberau, you will reach Mühltal further down the valley. Here, turn left after the bridge; after about 300 m you will find us on the right-hand side.
Travelling electric
🔋 22 kW charging stations for your electric car are available directly at the Haflingerhof.
This allows you to conveniently charge your vehicle during your stay.
Please note that you will need your own Type 2 charging cable.
By Plane
If you are arriving by plane, the most convenient way to reach the Haflingerhof is via the airports of Innsbruck, Salzburg or Munich. From there, you can continue either by rental car, by train to Wörgl or by transfer to Wildschönau.
Continuing via Wörgl is especially convenient, as the station is very well connected and only about 15 to 20 minutes from the Haflingerhof. We are also happy to give you tips on the most convenient connection.

It is very important to us to make our hotel as inclusive as possible for everyone. With every renovation project, we take a voluntary accessibility check into account (our new accessible entrance and WC are not yet included here; the link will be updated soon). We are working towards making the hotel as fully wheelchair accessible as possible. Access to the lower ground floor of the hotel is barrier-free. The lift located there (not wheelchair-standard size: 99 x 107 cm) goes to all floors. There is a wheelchair-accessible WC.
